Bereft of all life that's not me
Give me my fake mask of sanity
Show me the darkness I want to see
Surround me with not but sand
Away from the people and bright lights
Surround me with the void I seek
Away from the anxiety and the fights
Let me escape the civil world
Help me escape the pain and irritation
Let me escape everyone within myself
Help me secure my desperate isolation

Useless, worthless to your family and friends
Shaking, breaking always wondering where it ends
Shadows swirl in the corners of your mind
